Rave Reviews for the Holistic Dental Matrix™

The verdict is in...

Dr. Meyer has done a wonderful presentation in this new book. The importance of dental health is generally overlooked by physicians who fail to recognize the distal ramifications of irritations and infections in the jaw and teeth. I have helped many patients over the years by pointing out their dental needs and referring them to astute dental surgeons like Dr. Meyer. Of drastic influence are the mercury amalgams which must be removed in all cases of chronic disorders. I recommend all health enthusiasts to read this book, it will no doubt leave a lasting impression.

As an author of 7 books on wellness and an alternative eye doctor, I have seen many cases where serious eye pathology is related to a dental issue. Dr. Nick Meyer’ s book the “Holistic Dental Matrix” is the book I have been looking forward to. It has valuable information on the importance of dental health and the link to dental health to our general well-being and health. This book will be a valuable addition to my library and I will recommend it to all of my patients!

At last, a book that gets you well! Dr. Nicholas Meyer’s extensive research and clinical practice makes him a shining example of success in America. Not only should every dentist and oral surgeon read The Holistic Dental Matrix (HDM), but also any person who has a chronic illness. It offers tremendous insight into how illness throughout the body can be tied to your mouth!

Dr. Meyer is a dentist’s dentist! His knowledge in the field of dentistry and oral health is unsurpassed in the world.

Dr. Nicholas Meyer has written the ultimate guidebook connecting the dots between your disease and your dental health. This is the perfect piece of health advice that you have been looking for. I read this in 1 day and loved it. I could not put it down! It has changed the course of my life, and given me back my beloved husband.

Dr. Nicholas Meyer is one of the top global researchers in the area of cavitations and ischemic bone disease. He is generally acknowledged as one of the world’s leading experts on biological dentistry, and his newest book can change your life since it is the only book I’ve ever read in this genre that includes information on Lyme, CIRS, mold illness, MARCoNS and much more. HDM is years beyond its time, and if you want to be pioneering in your own practice (or find the cure you’ve been praying for), read this. Don’t put it down until you are done!

Dr. Meyer teaches people how to be a better human being. In case you haven’t met him in person, he is a caring and kind doctor, and in a day and age where healthcare is complex and moving fast, Dr. Meyer leaves his impressive legacy. He shows you how to get well in his book, and his conversational style of writing makes scientific information easy to understand. I highly recommend HDM as well as a visit to Dr. Meyer’s office. It will change your life. It will.

Most Physicians who seriously get involved with Integrative care have had the same Humpty Dumpty experience that Dr. Meyer writes about in the introduction to this very informative book on Holistic Dentistry plus have had numerous successful patient success story as is written about by the patient who wrote the last chapter (Epilogue).

Dr. Nicholas Meyer is truly one of the most enlightened Holistic Dentists in the USA and we are fortunate that he has shared his story and insights in this very easy to read book that he has artfully written. In fact the artwork and graphics that he uses to help explain his points are truly the proof of one picture being worth a thousand words.

Ninety Nine plus percent of Physicians in our world do not understand the vital connections between teeth and Dentistry AND their connections to the rest of the body with all the associated illnesses related thereto let alone know a competent Dentist that they can refer their patients with these types of allegedly incurable problems.

I feel fortunate practicing in a community where Dr. Meyer lives so that I can refer my patients to him. I’ m doubly glad that he’ s written this book that my patients can read so they can see why I’ m sending them for the referral. Dr. Meyer has done a great service in explaining a subject in very readable fashion that needed explaining in a way that patients can appreciate an easily understand.

Every now and then someone comes along who proves they are ahead of their time. Dr. Meyer’ s brilliant and timely work in The Holistic Dental Matrix shows this to be true with a well thought out and structured approach to bringing the mouth and the body together. What started out decades ago with the beginning groundwork of observation is being confirmed with modern science’ s understandings of both bacterial-based oral-systemic connectedness, as well as how defects in basic metabolic pathways help explain why dental materials and oral conditions matter. Dr. Meyer’ s The HolisticDental Matrix is long overdue and is an excellent guide to understanding a facet of dentistry many dentists are ill-informed and/or misinformed on, and which too many have prematurely and unnecessarily and unfortunately dismissed as irrelevant. The Holistic Dental Matrix is a refreshing re-introduction to an often overlooked area of oral and general health that demands fresh attention, given emerging genomic understandings of how and why metabolic pathways must be considered in all matters of the oral-systemic connection.

The Holistic Dental Matrix is a wonderful addition to the holistic medicine literature. Dr. Nicholas Meyer provides a layman’s guide to non-invasive dental approaches that can help people regain control of their health. Using non-technical language, he helps the reader learn the underlying causes of their ill health and how this relates to their dental problems. Dr. Meyer also describes dental products and resources that can promote good health. This book is a must read for those who wish to empower themselves to greater wellness.

Dr. Meyer shows the rare ability to see things from many perspectives. He has been practicing for years but hasn't stopped learning, thinking and incorporating new ideas into his daily professional life. He has singlehandedly expanded our understanding of cavitations and MARCoNS. I look forward to working with him to bring the MARCoNS/NICO data to publication soon.

TheHolistic Dental Matrix is an excellent resource for dental patients seeking to educate themselves about one of the most important, yet commonly neglected, parts of the body impacting overall health and well-being. The "oral cavity" is central to the proper functioning head, neck, brain, crania-sacral apparatus, musculo-skeletal and neuromuscular systems, neuro-endocrine and immune systems, and people's self-image, self-esteem, and social competence.

In 1978, as a dentist and periodontist in training, I co-authored one of the earliest mass market dental self-help books: Your Mouth is Your Business: The Dentists' Guide to Better Health. As Dr. Meyer wrote in TheHolistic Dental Matrix, the "powers that be" did not subscribe to truth telling and dental consumer empowerment, much like they still don't today;....

Since that time I have often thought how great it would be if I could find the time to revise that general consumer text; but now my desire has been mooted by Dr. Meyer's wonderful contribution to better oral health.

If I were still in dental practice, I would buy TheHolistic Dental Matrix by the case, and require it as reading for every new patient. Similarly, every "patient-centered" healthcare professional should read and recommend this book, because it might save their patients' lives.

Too often, subtle dental or head and neck problems are neglected due to lacking awareness that Dr. Meyer's book, TheHolistic Dental Matrix, provides. For this reason, Dr. Meyer should be congratulated for doing a great job helping to save lives and spare people's needless expense, distress, and disease.

The Holistic Dental Matrix is the 21st century informational guide to oral health. Renowned dentist, Dr. Nicholas Meyer, makes holistic dentistry simple to understand and follow. Dr. Meyer follows the lead of Dr. Hal Huggins and documents the mounting evidence against toxins like mercury and fluoride. He offers practical solutions on holistic treatments and therapies.

I loved this book and will recommend to all of my patients. The case studies and pictures really add value and understanding. As a natural cardiologist, I understand the link between dental and heart health. Other doctors should follow the advice of Dr. Nicholas Meyer. Thank you doc for writing this book.

Your book is absolutely essential!

This very readable, truly enjoyable and immensely significant endeavor on behalf of the health of the dental patient is cogently written. In my opinion every dentist should definitely keep this book on the bookshelf alongside ‘ The Web that has No Weaver: Understanding Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) by T.J. Kaptchuk. OMD. From the get-go a poem written by Dr. Meyer, on the Wise Druids repair of Humpty Dumpty is likened to the practitioners of TCM with potions and gizmos at their disposal while the King and all the king’ s men know next to nothing about the harm they do as they cart off the Druids under cover of darkness.

The first chapter connects up the fourteen (8+6 confluent) TCM acupuncture meridia with the teeth and orofacial points. Chapters two and three emphasizes the major toxic ‘mad hatter’ amalgam mercury craze that destroys the brain while sodium fluoride undermines the body’s collagen weave to lay waste the extracellular matrices’ tensile strength. Chapters four and five provide the much needed healing hand for the neuromuscular TMD/OSA collapse with orthoses constructed from antidromic hyperpolarization of alpha and gamma muscle fatigue by TENS applied to confluence meridia: stomach, large intestine, small intestine triple warmer, bladder and gall bladder. The fifth chapter highlights vicious endodontics with  contamination blocked  dentinal canals connecting with the periodontium rescued just in time by laser energy and ozone therapy without which present endodontics becomes a not so silent chronic killer speared by mysterious NICO lesions (neuralgia inducing cavitational osteonecrosis ) spread systemically  painfully blocking Qi. Culminating in Chapter 6 the reader is enabled to connect the inflammatory dots from biofilm to NICO lesions from cytoactive TNF to lysyl oxidase inhibition of cell membrane and collagen cross linkage resulting in periodontitis by net matrix and alveolar bone destruction (Pischon N, Darbois ML, Palamakumbra AH, Kessler E and  Trackman PC  (2004) Regulation of collagen deposition and lysyl oxidase by tumor necrosis factor alpha in osteoblasts J.Biol Chem (279:30060-65). In the UK poorly constructed implants have received negative appraisal for providing a portal of entry to faulty systemic metabolism.

Chapters 7-11 summarizes the management of holistic medicine in dentistry and brings together the various testing, diagnostic and resources and here the validity of the TCM way is reinforced for under the teeth are other inflammatory cavitations that block the Qi and must be eliminated.  Finally we go with Dr. Meyer into the clinical setting .Here I am reminded of the Canadian father of pathology none other than Sir William Osler founder of Johns Hopkins and Regius Professor at Oxford who preferred the ward rounds as a form of teaching the health student. His best known saying reinforces Dr. Meyer’s approach “Listen to your patient he is telling you the diagnosis.  Dr. Meyer like Osler’s greatest contribution to medicine that students learn from seeing and talking to patients. What a climax written large by Dr. Nicholas Meyer concludes his extraordinary treatise on the place of holistic medicine is to fully engage with the patient never neglecting the prime position of examining the patient by palpation. I feel reading this giant contribution of Dr. Nicholas Meyer DDS; DNM to the dental literature is a monument to holistic medicine.

....truly outstanding and a work of art. I learned lots myself...wishing I had all your knowledge. I feel that the public will be blessed by your work.

Dr. Nick Meyer has written an important document that will advance the health of all of humanity. Written for the layman so that they understand the historical forces that molded the practice of dentistry in the United States, Dr. Meyer traces his own evolution through the biologic and holistic mine field. Because he persevered and dedicated his practice to this very subject, and more importantly, learned to apply that knowledge to treat heretofore “untreatable”cases, Dr. Meyer has given millions hope for healthy longevity. I highly recommend this book to all dentists and all other health practitioners who are looking to widen their scope of practice to include enhanced patient care. The Holistic Dental Matrix clearly identifies seven arenas where potentially harmful oral-systemic relationships exist that tomorrow’ s dentists and physicians must understand. May you listen with ears that hear and look with eyes that see.

Your book is brilliant, Nick – it is well written, clear.
